I started this review of The Daily Mirror's Value Scope racing tipster on 01 December 2007 as a record of the results of an average person in the street.

Due to the consistent results Valuescope has been achieving , by the time your paper gets delivered the suggested price is likely to have dropped. So I will post Valuescopes tips each Saturday morning as early as possible (think of me when it's freezing cold and snowing trudging down to the newsagents)

I will also post the results, the prices I was actually able to get, and my profit / loss on a weekly and cumulative basis.

Not a great few weeks but hopefully the tide will turn soon.

REbel Duke was a non runner btw so you will get your money back.

Thanks for that.

I just saw the results and missed the N.R.
I have amended the post & the stats to reflect the N.R.

Dobbin,
I am grateful for you posting the tips early on Saturday but why do you not quote the price & bookmaker that Valuescope recommends?
i.e.On Saturday you mentioned both horses but only stated target prices. Why did you not say W Hill at 16/1 for Northern Fling & Victor Chandler at 25/1 for Rebel Duke as stated in the paper? I have accounts with most bookmakers & would appreciate you giving the full details as published in the paper i.e. The bookmakers offering the prices recommended. Without this information I still have to get up early to buy the newspaper. If you can give this information it would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Hi

If valuescope reccomends a particular bookmaker I do normally mention it eg May 10, May 24. If price is generally available I don't.

For clarification in future I will state if price is generally availanle.

So you can have a lie in on Saturday.

In response to anonymous' earlier post. There are plenty of odds checking websites on line if you value your lie in so much...

http://www.oddschecker.com/ being an example.
