I started this review of The Daily Mirror's Value Scope racing tipster on 01 December 2007 as a record of the results of an average person in the street.

Due to the consistent results Valuescope has been achieving , by the time your paper gets delivered the suggested price is likely to have dropped. So I will post Valuescopes tips each Saturday morning as early as possible (think of me when it's freezing cold and snowing trudging down to the newsagents)

I will also post the results, the prices I was actually able to get, and my profit / loss on a weekly and cumulative basis.

Value Scope Profit for December 2007

On Saturday 30 December, The Mirror published the profit made by Value Scope for the year to date as 370.75 points. His tip for that day lost 3 points so the overall profit for the year was 367.75 Points

On Saturday 01 December, The Mirror published the annual profit for the year to date as 312 Points.

So the profit for December based on the prices quoted in The Daily Mirror, was 55.75 Points.

Using the stakes suggested by Valuescope my actual profit for December was 40.5 Points.

So for the first month of the Valuescope Racing Tips experiment I have achieved 72.5% of the published profit.
